Blender is a 3D graphics application released as free software; its outstanding features include advanced simulation tools, and it can create very high-resolution models and renderings. In the month following the release of Blender v2.44 in 2009, it was downloaded 800,000 times. It is used in commercials in Australia and Brazil, and in a variety of independent films, as well as in the Hollywood blockbuster Spider-Man 2.

Blender uses TYPO3 as enterprise content management system for their global websites and obviously chose it for it's flexibility and Open Source license.
