The Mercedes-Benz "Bodybuilder" Portal is a business-to-business platform for partner, who convert verhicles of Mercedes-Benz.

At least 50% to 60% of all vans and nearly 70% of all trucks are converted by "bodybuilders". For the correct conversion, the "bodybuilders" receive information like guidelines, vehicle drawings, data sheets and much more on the portal. They can also find information about vehicles ordered by customers.

The Bodybuilder Portal exists as a web platform and based on TYPO3 since 2004. Since the 2011 relaunch the usability has been optimized and new personal and global benefits for both new and existing registered users have been added.

Some facts and figures:
The portal is available in 11 languages, more than 4,000 "bodybuilders" from over 50 countries have registered, it contains over a million documents in up to 25 languages. More than 20,000 visitors a month use it to get information. A download volume of about 110 gigabytes and in excess of 2.2 million page views every month further emphasises what an important part the portal plays in their day-to-day work.
