Welthungerhilfe provides help from one set of hands: from immediate emergency aid in the wake of a disaster to long-term projects carried out in cooperation with local partners. Welthungerhilfe is a private, non-profit-making, politically independent and non-denominational relief organization which works under a voluntary Board of Directors and the patronage of the German President. It has supported some 5,500 projects in over 70 countries with 1.9 billion Euros since its foundation in 1962.
